Recently in the Georgia State University (GSU) Magazine an article appeared on the ascent of Mount Baker (approximately 10,786 feet)  in the North Cascades in Washington State. Led by GSU’s President Mark Becker and Carson Tortorige, program director of Touch the Earth, GSU’s outdoor recreation program, 9 current students and 1 graduate climbed the mountain, reaching the summit on May 31, 2015.
