Sea Lions: After China, Comes Humanized Mother NatureBy
Well…it seems that the sea lions that at one time were hunted into near extinction for their coats, valuable commodities that 19th century China traded or paid troves of silver may now be a victim of climate warming. My prior blog review of When America First Met China talks abut the early history of harvesting sea lions for their pelts.
California, in particular the Southern coast line, has found itself to be the temporary home of these adorable creatures, over a thousand of which had washed up on California beaches.
